The second Atlassian User Group Lagos Meetup to hold in two weeks

On Saturday, February 9, 2019, over 50 people will gather at the Eyowo Studio for the second edition of AUG Lagos meetup.

The second Atlassian User Group Lagos Meetup to hold in two weeks

Following a successful execution of the maiden edition of the Atlassian User Group (AUG) Meetup in Lagos, a second edition has been announced.

In exactly two weeks from now (Saturday, February 23), Eyowo—a payments company headquartered in Lagos—will be hosting developers, product managers, designers and other AUG enthusiasts at their office at number 8 Oduduwa Crescent, Ikeja GRA.

Speaking on his reason for convening the meetup, Victor Ichofu said: "I am a firm believer of the agile development processes and how it makes software development iterations faster and better.

I believe if we are all understand the fundamental principles of agile and its methodology...we will release more reliable products and softwares".

In Lagos, Nigeria we see and hear of developer meetups every other day. However, not much emphasis is placed on the development methodology (agile or waterfall), which is something Atlassian suite of products have been designed to aide.

That's a sentiment Victor holds especially when he compares it to other countries,

"I have discovered the growing rate of the agile community in other countries but there really isn't an agile community in Lagos, it's just Developer communities, product communities and maybe Software quality.

This meetup is designed to bring all the various Tech communities together under one roof and talk about the flow of work as it relates to agile".

Speaking at the event are Tunde Adeniran (Senior Product Lead at Terragon Group) and Opeyemi Adeyemi (Solutions Architect at Eyowo).

Tunde would be speaking on Behaviors that Cultivate High-Performance Agile Teams. While Ope would be talking about How to Build Trello Boards to Tackle Any Job".

As usual, there will be refreshments and swag from Atlassian. The event would last 2 hours from 10:00am.

Looking forward to seeing you there. Reserve your space!

Update—5:08 PM, February 8: To reflect the new event date—February 23.
